Today is White Ribbon Day which is an international day led by men and boys working to end violence against women and girls and is Australia’s only national, male-led campaign to end men’s violence against women.
As a show of support for our commitment to this campaign by White Ribbon Australia, the blokes from PeoplePlus / Team Tug Life got together yesterday to contest the 2018 Canterbury-Bankstown White Ribbon Tug O’ War Cup hosted by the City of Canterbury Bankstown
The Tug O’ War Cup saw White Ribbon-supporting men from schools, organisations and local businesses like PeoplePlus compete in teams of five and participate in some friendly competition.
As part of the event, participants and spectators were invited to pledge their support by taking the White Ribbon oath to “stand up, speak out and act to prevent men’s violence against women”.
