This new initiative is designed to support young people in gaining the skills they need to secure and maintain steady employment.
Executive Chairman and Director of AETS, Con Kittos, said he is delighted and looking forward to delivering Youth Jobs PaTH from 110 locations across Australia. “Young people are Australia’s greatest asset and empowering young people to achieve their potential is crucial in driving economic growth for all Australians, productivity, and Australia’s prosperity.”
AETS Executive Director, Emma Crichton, was also proud of this achievement.
“We applaud the commitment from the Department of Employment and Employability Skills Training to changing the future employment prospects of young people through investing in their future. We are thrilled to part of this initiative because we know that with the right support, young people are the new talent employers should be looking at.”
The AETS Youth Jobs PaTH training is specifically designed using a team-based learning model that will equip young people with critical skills to enter the workplace; communication, attitudes to work, punctuality and presentation.
Everyday AETS trainers around Australia will encourage young people to feel motivated about their futures using a positive psychology framework that is practical preparation for the new world of work in this changing economy. This will also include Industry Awareness experiences, fun and practical team-based projects and a chance to establish their unique professional digital footprint.
Mr. Kittos went on to say, "We are fast becoming a truly great company and now more Australians in 100-plus regions across the nation will get to experience first class service and attention.”
Youth Jobs PaTH is an Australian Government initiative. AETS is delivering the Prepare/Trial/Hire component of the initiative. For more information on Youth Jobs PaTH visit: www.jobactive.gov.au/path
